Autism Awareness Walk

Abilities was a proud sponsor of the Inaugural Greater Baton Rouge Autism Awareness Walk. The event was put on by "Families Helping Families" of Greater Baton Rouge. Funds raised from the walk are going toward the development of their Resource Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (RCASD). This is the first center in the Baton Rouge area that is solely devoted to providing resources and parent-to- parent support for families affected by Autism. To learn more about what the RCASD offers, click here to check out their website.

Also see our "Autism Awareness Walk" photo album on Facebook to see all the fun Abilities had at the walk. We had balloons and mini frisbees for the kids to play with, information for parents, and our therapists even had the chance to show off their artistic side with some face painting! We had a blast at the event and were so excited to be part of an amazing cause.

We would like to congratulate someone from the Abilities family. "Cole's Crew" won 3rd place overall! Also, Trish (heading up 'Cole's Crew' with her son) won 1st place for Individual Fundraiser! Congrats to Trish and her son for all their hard work"
